APPRAISAL (877-87)
Required for Broker's Exam
Covers the fundamental principles of evaluation properties. Learn the basic essentials of determining property values. Excellent course for new licensees. One of the most important of the 8 courses required to qualify for the real estate brokers license examination due to the fact the tougher questions on the brokers exam are those relating to appraisal.
ECONOMICS (1579-96)
Economics or Accounting Required For Broker's Exam
May be used as an elective if Accounting already taken. Provides an overall view of those factors which create and change values of real property. Very interesting and an excellent course for those looking to maximize their knowledge of the factors that bring about negative or positive changes in property values.
ESCROW (848-87)
Elective for Broker's Exam
The Escrow itself represents one of the most significant phases of the real estate transaction. Those who perform the duties of an escrow agent must have a vast and current knowledge of all the persons that need to be contacted and the various documents that must be properly completed in order for the deal to CLOSE ESCROW. Although this is not a required course, but an elective, anyone taking it will come away with a greater respect for those involved in performing this much needed function.
FINANCE (834-86)
Required for Broker's Exam
This course covers the fundamentals of the money market, creation, control, and lending of money. Students will acquire a knowledge of how our money system works and how this money system is used in providing needed funds for real estate transactions. Covers "Conventional," "Government-backed," and "Creative" financing techniques.
LAW "Legal Aspects" (835-86)
Required for Broker's Exam
This course provides an in depth and detailed explanation of the various areas of law applicable to those working in the field of real estate. Major topics addressed are: Nature of Real Property Interests in Real Property Co-Ownership Interests Agency: Laws, Duties and Disclosures Contracts and Contract Law - Alternatives to Litigation Financing Land Use Controls and Civil Rights - Title and Alienation - Escrows and Closing Financing Landlord/Tenant Relationships
MORTGAGE LOAN BROKERING AND LENDING (1573-95)
Elective for Broker's Exam
This is one of the first comprehensive textbooks dealing with loan brokering and lending strategies. An excellent course for those with a special interest in learning the fundamental procedures for effectively managing real property. The course covers the full scope of essential topics: Preparing for Management - Leases, Leasing, and Lease Clauses - Residential, Commercial, Office and Industrial Management - Liability, Risk, Security and Maintenance - Energy Conservation - Record Keeping - Advertising - Fair Housing - Tenant and Owner Relations.
