PHASE 1

The Qualification Program
To qualify to schedule a testing date for the state exam, individuals are required to complete both the following:

2 YEARS FULLTIME EXPERIENCE REQUIRED (or the equivalent thereof)
Brokers Exam Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years full-time experience within the 5 years previous to apply for the state examination or the equivalent thereof. The most often used equivalents are: Having a 4-year or more college degree, from any accredited college or university, (Degree must have a major or minor in real estate) or those with a minimum of 5 years of experience in related fields such as bankers, escrow officers, general contractors, as example.

We provide our courses through the use of DRE approved “Home Study” programs. These courses are the quickest and most convenient way to complete this portion of your studies. Each course is “self-paced” and each course can be completed in as little as 2-1/2 weeks. Course Waivers

Course Descriptions

Completion Time: Minimum, 2-1/2 weeks per each course, which must be taken apart from each other (example: minimum time period to complete 5 courses would be 12-1/2 weeks). As example, If a student enrolls and 12-1/2 weeks have passed without taking a course final, in result, student would then be eligible to take finals for all 5 courses at once or when desired after that time period). Maximum, one (1) year to complete each course from date of enrollment.

Textbooks

We offer the newest editions of our textbooks as they are updated by our providers when needed. For our student’s convenience we provide the textbooks in hardcopy form and those marked with an * available on pdf available to view online. The DRE requires schools that have courses that only provide an e-book for study, track the student’s time online for the full 45 hours of time required to complete the course, opposed to schools like ours that provide all of the hardcopy textbooks (no tracking required).

In addition, we believe the hardcopy textbooks prove to be much more convenient, since students can read them any place or time. These textbooks contain much more information than what will be necessary for you to know in order to pass the state exam, therefore we recommend, spending just enough time on each course, that would assure yourself a passing grade. Then study our prep materials, which in turn, will focus into the exact information needed to pass your state exam.

Our “Open Book” final and 60% grade or better to pass, has provided our students with nearly a 100% Pass Rate!

How To Complete The Courses:

Read Each Course Textbook. (Assignments are available at the end of chapters, however they are not required to be turned in or graded). NOTE: Real Estate Practice will have an additional module to complete before accessing final.

Take The Final Examination For Each Course. The final examination for each course final may be taken anytime 2-1/2 weeks from date of enrollment. Students will have up to 2-1/2 hours to complete the final exam which consists of 100 multiple choice quiz questions. The final is OPEN BOOK and only requires a 60% grade or better to pass. (taken ONLINE) Once completed, students will be given immediate results whether they passed or failed (the school is not allowed to give out a percentage grade). Failures are nearly non-existent, however if one does a occur, students are eligible at “anytime” within the enrollment period to take a second final. If failing a second time, by regulation requirements the course is considered as being “failed” and the student in result, would have to re-enroll in the program.

Receiving the Certificates Of Completions. Upon successful completion of each course, the school provides a CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION with course title & approval number.

Applying For State Exam Testing Date. When completing the California Real Estate Broker License requirements, you can apply to the Department of Real Estate for a Brokers Exam testing date by sending in all the certificates along with an application.

After, It will usually take between 4 to 6 weeks before you take your Brokers State Exam. In the mean while you will want to start preparation.
